KUDELSKI GROUP TO SELL TICKETCORNER HOLDING AG
Cheseaux, July 20, 2005 – Kudelski announces today its intention to sell its events ticketing subsidiary Ticketcorner. This decision is the outcome of a strategic review of the Kudelski Public Access division.
The Board of Kudelski sets the Nagra Public Access development priority in the access control market, with the goal of continuing to strengthen SkiData.
The Group is convinced that it is critical for Ticketcorner to further grow its current undisputed market leading position to become the leader in the European events ticketing market. The Group believes that a change in shareholding structure will enable Ticketcorner to better reach this goal.
Ticketcorner is a fully owned subsidiary of Kudelski with a leading market position in the provision of ticketing, inventory and distribution management of events tickets in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Ticketcorner operates a wide network of points of sale, a call center and the www.ticketcorner.com website. The company serves major promoters, event organizers and ticketing agencies.
Kudelski has already received a number of unsolicited offers for Ticketcorner and will initiate discussions with a select number of potential buyers. The commitment to further develop Ticketcorner and to continue the cooperation with other entities of the Kudelski Group will play a key role in the selection of the new shareholder.
Kudelski has appointed Lonbridge Associates, an investment bank, to assist in the sales process.
