The PACE + e-Service ID Display Card is the most efficient and convenient method for the verification of critical documents like national ID’s, resident permits, driving licenses, health cards, weapon ID’s, social security eligibility and more. The solution is available for immediate implementation providing a converging and secure solution for citizens ID’s, corporate ID’s and e-consumers ID’s use applications.

The solution features NagraID’s “e-Service ID Display Card”, a smartcard incorporating a flexible LCD that displays a secure 6 digit dynamic key (DSK – Dynamic Signature Key) at the press of an integrated button. This password is sent together with the Card Authentication Number (CAN) to a server via an existing channel and infrastructure, such as telephone (GSM/GPRS), smartphone (WLAND), walkie-talkie (police / military network) and computers (Internet), to obtain instant electronic identification and authentication. The dynamic code is unique to each card, which makes duplication impossible, protecting the digital identities of the cardholder against counterfeits, manipulation and identity theft.

The main strength of the Password Authenticated Connection Establishment (PACE) protocol is the use of existing network infrastructure to enable anywhere and anytime reliable identification & authentication. It leverages on the already deployed and readily available communication channels such as landline phone, police or military radio communication, mobile phone, smartphone and the Internet without the use of special device such as smartcard readers or fingerprint scanners. The individual secure credential is ensured by the ISO form factor e-Service ID Display Card, which is based on NagraID Security’s Common Criteria EAL5+ certified display card platform and can incorporate also biometrics on demand based on the International Civil Organization (ICAO) standard.
