NAGRAID S.A. AND ASSA ABLOY IDENTIFICATION TECHNOLOGIES SETTLE PATENT DISPUTES


Cheseaux, Switzerland, June 5, 2007 – NagraID S.A., a Kudelski Group Company based in Switzerland, and Assa Abloy Identification Technologies (ITG) have settled patent disputes related to methods for manufacturing smart cards, in particular in the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) domain. The settlement agreement encompasses three basic NagraID’s patent families and extends also to all the affiliates of ITG. It grants ITG the right to use the claimed manufacturing methods in said three basic NagraID’s patent families for manufacturing specific electronic cards and tags.
