SKIDATA AG ACQUIRES A CONTROLLING STAKE IN BELGIUM’S LEADING PARKING SOLUTION PROVIDER PACT SA

Salzburg/Brussels, September 3rd, 2007– Austrian-based SKIDATA AG, a member of the Swiss Kudelski Group and leading international access control specialist, announces the acquisition of a controlling stake in Belgium’s leading parking access control provider PACT SA, SKIDATA’s distribution partner for the Belgian market since 1999. The transaction is effective as of September 1 2007. The new firm will be known as SKIDATA SA/NV.
This decision underscores SKIDATA’s worldwide growth strategy, which follows organic growth objectives as well as M&A goals. “Solidifying our cooperation with PACT will bring us closer to our Belgian clients and help us to strengthen our key account relationships,” says Charles Egli, CEO of SKIDATA AG.
PACT founder Jacques Rubini also sees a common interest in the transaction: “We are now able to perform even stronger with the full power of the SKIDATA brand; I am delighted that we can now offer our Belgium customers a broader variety of solutions and services.”
